Fall 2018 - Spring 2019

It gives me great pleasure to present our 2019-2019 catalogue to you. First, I would like to thank those of you who took time out of your busy schedule to come tour the nursery. It's always nice to see familiar faces. I'd like to think that you leave Wye Nursery with an insight on how we maintain and produce our B&B stock. We take great pride supplying our customers with quality plants that you can present and pass along to your customers.

This year Mother Nature handed us another 'trying' spring, the cold temps and snow ran into late March which gave us a late start. Once the weather cooperated April was some-what normal. "Normalcy", if there is such a thing, did not last for long. The rain continued into June. It is highly unusual for us to experience such extreme rainfall in our location. The water table rose and made digging extremely challenging. There was a plus side though, we had cooler temperatures for May and June which made for ideal conditions to ship later into the season. as the saying goes "be careful what you wish for" next time ill be sure to be more precise when praying for water. So now we're into July and it has been bone dry. Amazing how things can change so fast.

Inventory is finished and i am very pleased with the new growth and quality of it. Having moisture in May is a key to a good flush of growth. As always I am looking forward to another year of supplying you with quality B&B landscape material. I wish all of you a prosperous year and thank you again for your patronage. I look forward to carrying on our relationships for years to come.
